Amazon, Netflix, Disney, Weinstein are just some of television producers who participated in the meeting organized by ICE (Italian Trade Agency) and ANICA (Italian National Association for Film, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries) for the APT (Italian Independent Television Producers) delegation at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills.
The meeting was attended by 15 of the most ‘important US companies’ of the television world, interested in developing contacts with the 10 Italian companies that have decided to explore the US market. The Italian companies included Lux Vide and Endemol Shine, already well known in the United States, as well as fast growing companies such as March 11, Alexandra Film, Aurora TV, Cross Production, Fabula Pictures and Cobalt Entertainment.
The meetings were held on the roof garden of the Paley Center in an informal atmosphere with lounge corners made available to the companies, the morning’s work culminated in an Italian breakfast in the open air.
Chiara Sbarigia, CEO of APT, believes that at this time of great creativity of the industry it is very important to build a system of more structured and stable relations and a constant dialogue between Italian and US producers. This is the strategy undertaken by The Italian Trade Agency-ICE and ANICA for the internationalization of the Italian audiovisual system.
Roberto Stabile, representative of Audiovisual Associations at the Italian Trade Agency-ICE, and coordinator of the Audiovisual desks, is extremely pleased to declare this first action carried out by the newly established desk in Los Angeles: “The positive result encourages us to move forward on this path, where he sees ICE and Cinema DG of Mibact, essential partners for audiovisual affirmation Italian in the world, especially in these days of preparation for the Oscar campaign of “Fuocammare “.
Great satisfaction for Italian Trade Agency-ICE, whose director Florindo Blandolino declares a “surprising result of the initiative in terms of the number and importance of US companies that responded to our invitation, given that it was the first experiment of its kind; a good omen for similar initiatives that we are studying in the coming months “.
